Pleasant atmosphere and we enjoyed "browsing" some of the cars on your lot. Unfortunately the reservation system switched out time from 8:30 am to 9:30 am, so we wasted an hour, wondering why it was taking so long. We were told that the GM reservation system doesn't accurately interact with Hatfield's system. We will call to make our next appointment, rather than relying on making an online appointment.

My truck was presented for excessive oil loss since last scheduled change. I asked Alex if my truck received a leak down test or if a compression test was done on the cylinders to differentiate whether loss was due to consumption or loss as there were no overt signs of leak. He said the “tests were done by the technician”. I then took the truck after oil coolant lines and motor mount were repaired. On the invoice there was no designation that these tests were done so when I called back I was informed the tests were not performed. In addition, the truck was 2 quarts low AND they replaced coolant lines. An oil change was not done but was topped off. This is bad medicine!!! I was given inaccurate information, they did not follow standard of care for oil loss/consumption and more importantly you have lost my trust which is the only thing that ensures customer retention. You can’t be poor diagnosticians AND be misleading. When i called back I was told “ you can bring the truck back”. As you know this is inconvenient and given the poor attention to my vehicle, and the lack of directives, why would I trust you. Do with this review what you see fit. Respectfully

November 10, 2025Hi Dusty, we appreciate your honest feedback, as we are always looking for ways to improve. We apologize for any miscommunication. We found the source of your oil leak - the engine oil cooler lines. Those were replaced which took care of the leak. We work very hard to only charge customers for work that is absolutely necessary and those tests were not necessary based on the leak the technician found. This should have been explained better when you picked up your vehicle. We also didn't do an oil change as one was not requested or needed. I really appreciated the courtesy and professionalism of the service staff at Hatfield GMC. I had several recalls and also a 15,000 mile maintenance service due and all was accomplished within a 4 hour window.
